Old Town Louisville was was initially established as a coal mining town in the early 1900's with city lots being 25' wide and 125' long. Miners would build small cabins on these lots. As the mining industry disappeared, cabins became run down and people started adding lots together an building slightly larger homes. Today a large lot in Old Town Louisville is at a premium with new construction or add on's, bringing the price of homes up to 750K to over 1million.

The outlying neighborhoods of Parkwood, Hillsborough North, Centennial Valley and Dutch Creek offer more affordable housing. In these neighborhoods you can find a three bedroom, two bath single family residence with 1800 sq ft priced in the high $200's to mid $300s. These homes were built in the mid 70's to late 80's.

The community around Coal Creek Golf course boasts some the more bigger homes in Louisville priced from $600k to over $1million.Someother neighborhoods with more upscale homes are Harper Lake , Continental Estates, and The Enclave have higher end homes $600 upwards. It is becoming more common that is it hard to find a single family home in Louisville in the 2500 to 3500 sq ft region that is under 400K.

We know that relocating children to a new school is a prime concern for parents, so we make it easy to search for listings based on Boulder's enrollment areas, including: Louisville Elementary Schools, Louisville Middle Schools, and Louisville High Schools. We can also send you detailed information about the local schools, including their state rankings.
