If you continue to do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten. This is the motto of the progressive.
It is however true thought that if you live by this motto you are bound to make more mistakes than the conservatives, whose motto is learn to accept the world just as it is. If poor children make poor grades that's sad but that's just the way it is. They need to start taking responsibility for themselves.
They sure are not getting any of "my" money. If Mexicans cross our border, build a fence, it does not matter what the underlying cause is or the fact that some are crossing because people here are inviting them to come and work. If some Arabic attacks the U.S it our right then to go and blow every Arab off the map, we'll show them who's boss.
Of course if you sit around on your rear end, and try to hold onto the past, one is bound to make fewer mistakes, and it's true that some people don't understand that making mistakes is the way we learn and grow and get better. And these people will hold those mistakes against the progressives until they die, living in denial that they ever made a mistake.
Oh but what a price one pays. This means that one has to just accept that school shootings are just a part of reality. If people would just read the Bible things will get better. Hum, the American conservatives have been saying this for two hundred years, maybe it's time to try something new, and get something new.
Research shows over and over again that most of the people that do bad things are themselves a type of victim. A victim of poor education, poverty and indifference from society.
It is clear that Mexicans, who just want to work, would not be crossing our borders illegally if there were a legal way to do it. When someone is so full of hate that they give up their life as a suicide bomber, there has got to be a reason.
People just do not become suicide bombers out of a vacuum. They don't just wake up one day and say, "Oh, I think I'll be a suicide bomber today."
We have get to start getting it into our heads that there is a reason why we are hated so badly and start finding out how WE can correct it. We have got to stop reacting to the world the way the conservatives do and look for new ways to make the world better. We humans have tried war for over 8000 years and all we have gotten is more war. Maybe there is a better way.
