We need your Rockies photos for our print section
Contributed by: Travis Henry/YourHub.com   on 10/18/2007

The Networked Journalism Summit in New York last week was an amazing time. Journalism is alive and well in America, it just may look different as we move foreward.

At some point in the future I may wax poetically about the ideas shared by the many great minds that converged in the big city, but for now I'll defer to Dan "Definitely the Web 2.0 Man" Pacheco who really delves into the more interesting topics here. Look for his take on Myheimat.de, a project I find particulary interesting.

But for now, we have more pressing issues that I need your help with. We are putting out a fan-focused special Colorado Rockies print section as we speak. We need your photos, columns and ancedotes. We will pick the best submissions we receive and print them in our special section inserted in the Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post next Thursday.

I know there are some great photos out there and that many of you have posted them here on the The Denver Post site and here on the Rocky site. ( Why do our parent sites have their own "user submitted" sections instead of just using ours? That's a complicated different discussion for a different day.)

Anyway, I think it's great that people are posting on those sites, but to get them in our print section, you have to post them on YourHub.com. We have received several calls from users who wondered why the photos they have posted on the Rocky and Post sites don't end up in the YourHub.com print sections. To clarify: Submissions must be posted on the YourHub.com site to be considered for the YourHub.com print sections. I sincerely apologize for any confusion.

It's easy.

First, you need to register.

Next, post your Rockies stories, predictions, columns, love letters and especially photos here.

The entire section will be dedicated to highlighting the fans of the miraculous team.

They deserve it.

Here's some of my favorites on the site so far:

Rocktober road trip reveals Rockies rooters

Band Wagon debate

I'm glad the conference was as exciting as I imagined it would be! My husband enjoyed the final Rockies game in the last series in a box with 50 other people and had a great time.
