Deborah Amesbury, LCSW our guest speaker will address this often difficult time of year when someone you love, or you, have difficulty with the holidays! Holidays and family get-togethers tend to be especially stressful for families living with mental illnesses. Expectations may be difficult to live up to. Being in groups or unfamiliar environments can trigger symptoms. Travel and changes in daily routines can disrupt sleep and diet.

Ms. Amesbury will discuss holiday stressors and ways individuals and families can use communication, planning ahead, and flexibility to reduce stress and experience enjoyable holidays (or, even less stressful ones) and family celebrations.
