Adams County Community Development Begins Planning Resource Fair

Adams County Community Development and a host of agency partners are organizing a Community Resource Fair to be held on Saturday, September 30 th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Adams County Fair Grounds Exhibit Hall. The purpose of the Resource Fair is to give Adams County residents the opportunity to learn about resources available in the county that can directly improve their quality of life.

"Many people are not aware of the resources available to them in the County," said Mariana Ledezma, Coordinator for Adams County Community Development. "Even within just our own agency we have services that can help people with home improvements, starting their own business, senior transportation, food & nutrition and neighborhood improvement. If you multiply that by the dozens of non-profits, government agencies and the private sector businesses available, you realize there are a wealth of opportunities available in Adams County and the metro area that residents should know about."

A planning committee comprised of Community Development, Chase Bank, US Bank, Salud Health Clinic, IRS Taxpayer Advocate, Adams County Sheriff's Department, VOICES, Center for People with Disabilities, Alternatives to Family Violence, ACCESS Housing, Inc., Children's Outreach Project, Adams County Food Distribution Center, City of Thornton and CSU Extension Office is currently reviewing requests from service providers who may be interested in exhibiting at Fair. There are currently up to 70 booths available for exhibitors and fees run from $20 for non-profits to $50 for private sector businesses. Sponsorships opportunities are also available for agencies or businesses seeking increased exposure in Adams County. Residents, agencies and businesses interested in learning more about the Resource Fair should contact Mariana Ledezma at 303.453.8500.
