The Denver Northwest Market Center of Keller Williams Realty (9191 Sheridan Blvd., Suite 310, Westminster) today announced that Bill Greer was named the 2008 Realtor of the Year by the North Metro Denver Realtor Association (NMDRA).

"I am a firm believer in Zig Ziglar's well-known philosophy that says that 'You get what you want only after helping others get what they want,'" said Greer. "My success can be traced to this belief and in my commitment to give back to the community. Greer started in real estate in October 1969 and left in 1989 to become a mortgage banker. He returned to real estate in 2006, when he joined Keller Williams Realty Professionals.

"Coincidentally, in 1986, I taught Real Estate Law and Deceptive Trade Practices, Brokerage and Ethics in Austin, Texas," commented Greer. "One of the other instructors at the Academy of Real Estate was Gary Keller, who was in the early stages of forming the company that bears his name."

NMDRA also awarded Greer the Affiliate of the Year for two years (2004 and 2005) and the President's Award in 2007.

A dedicated community activist, Greer is involved in many organizations, such as Toastmasters International, Agent Leadership Council of Keller Williams Realty Professionals, and with Colorado Association of Realtors, serving on the Legislative Policy Committee, Land Use Subcommittee, and Realtor Issues Political Action Committee.
