What can we do to help our students & children gain discipline, creativity, self
expression, public speaking skills, confidence and imagination? This may sound
like a tall order, but hosting a drama enrichment program will help kids achieve
these skills.
All your school or organization provides is the space; a gymnasium, cafeteria, library or classroom
works just fine. You set the time & day. The Rising Curtain will bring all props, costumes and set
pieces. We will distribute registration forms to families AND allow for the option of on-line registrations.
Most of our classes sell out very quickly- many families are interested in developing these important
skills in their children and... it is FUN!
We are currently booking for 2006-2007 school year classes. Please contact our office or visit our
website for further details.
Kids love to pretend... and a beginning course in drama will give them the opportunity to engage in
dramatic play, enjoy an early introduction to costumes and props and learn beginning stage direction.
This course culminates in a Family Share performance the final day of class where all the parents are
invited. These 8-10 week sessions are scheduled on any weekday.
Tuition for these classes is $80.00- $100.00.
Current class choices are:
Developing Dramatics- for preschool to 6th graders:
"Alice in Wonderland"
a journey through the amazing world of Lewis Carroll
"Toy Story 2"
stories of the true meaning of friendship with Buzz, Woody and the Toy Story friends
"Monsters, Inc."
Fun with Mike, Sulley and the gang from Monstropolis
"Stories from Pooh"
Pooh, Tigger and the Hundred Acre Wood-
stories children love
"The Wizard of Oz"
the L. Frank Baum story comes to life on a trip
"Over the Rainbow"
"The Hobbit"
Bilbo Baggins, Gollum, Smaug, Gandalf and countless elves, dwarves
and goblins abound in this classic tale.
AND for Middle Schoolers:
Those middle school years... what could be more important than gaining confidence? Rising Curtain's
enrichment classes for middle schoolers offer a safe environment for self-expression and creative
growth. These courses culminate in a Family Share performance where parents & friends are invited.
These 8 week classes are scheduled on any weekday and usually include a music/dance
component. Tuition for these classes is $80.00-$100.00 Current class choices are:
"Lord of the Rings"
Journey to middle earth through Tolkien's
epic adventure
"The World of Harry Potter"
Harry, Ron, Hermione and even Moaning Myrtle make
a great introduction to the world of drama
"Freestyle Fairy Tales"
A new take on fairy tales with comic flare!
