The District 50 Technology Services Department filters web pages and SPAM to help keep our kids safe and focused on learning. Did you know that 17 million web pages are visited from district computers weekly and approximately 130,000 are blocked by the district filter? Filters are designed to keep the focus on learning, not entertainment. Additionally, the district filters over 8.7 million spam messages per month! That's how many messages don't make it to user mail boxes. These blocked messages represent 98% of the total incoming mail.
