Pat Kremer recieves scholarship

From Gator sports star to Kearney student, senior Pat Kremer signs letter of acceptance to University of Nebraska in Kearney

Track and football star Pat Kremer signed a letter of acceptance to the University of Nebraska in Kearney, with a scholarship, on Wednesday February 13.

Kremer was recognized by the college for his outstanding achievements in both track and football at Standley Lake. He previously visited the campus of UNK and was able to meet some of the coaches at the school.

"When I went to campus I feel in love with it," said Kremer. "It is a small campus and my largest class will only be about 160 students and is only about a five hour drive from home which will be nice."

While attending UNK, Kremer plans to major in the Exercise of Science and minor in business.

"UNK allows students studying the exercise of science to operate on real cadavers which will be really cool for Pat," said father Bill Kremer.

Kremer will attend UNK in the next school year and has many people that are excited for his great achievement.

"We have enjoyed watching Pat play sports here," said SLHS athletic director Tim Walker. "He has been part of something big at Standley Lake and has added to a tradition at this school. We are all very proud of him."
