Team gets past a slow start

With so many young players like sophomores Cole Harding, Cole Wilson, Kyle Roll, and Chad Hirsch, the Standley Boys Varsity Basketball team has been showing improvement this season as they continuosly put points up on the scoreboard.

"[Our] goals are to have good defense, follow the game plan, make adjustments, and have players play as well as they can," said coach Jon Baskin.

Baskin continued to say, "We started out fairly inexperienced but are improving and learning every day. We are better than we were at the beginning of the year."

Baskin also said players sophomore Roll, junior Brent Harris, and senior Josh Misegadis have been giving good effort.

"We've been struggling but are doing alright," Roll said. "We want to win a couple more games and hopefully make the playoffs."

SLHS can only wait to see how the team does as the year progresses and hope for the best.
