Get ready for a beat down from the Standley Lake wrestlers!

The team, once a state powerhouse, is having one of its best seasons in years. Several players are ranked at the state level for their weight class.

Regionals were held on February 15 and 16 in Fort Collins, and wrestlers who placed in the top four continued to state.

Last year junior Gavin Peters won third place for state.

After the state tournament, the wrestling season comes to and end. The only thing left to do is an all-conference meeting where the player's points are added up from previous tournaments and meets.

Coach Nick Doyle has been impressed with this season's performance. "[The team] has done a lost better compared to last year," Doyle said.
