Comedian Dom Irrera coming to town is the most exciting thing I have heard in a while! I first saw him in the cult classic
The Big Lebowski as Tony the chauffer, and I immediately recognized him on a few episodes of Oprah and Seinfeld. One of my favorite pieces of his is when he does a gag about growing up in Philly. His clever jokes about his Italian Catholic upbringing are equally hilarious. He does the best Italian American accent I have ever heard! But I guess you would expect that coming from a guy from Philly. Some of his best jokes come from living there, such as his race humor and cultural connotations.
Dom also has the ability to make multiple audiences feel comfortable and relatable. He is able to put something on the table and not have others ridicule him for it, because he is so well respected. He is also very good at keeping up with the times, a skill that many comedians must master in order to be considered a reputable artist. This award-winning comedian sure knows how to own the stage and make you laugh in the process...Yeah for Dom coming to Comedy Works this weekend! For tickets and details, visit
ComedyWorks.com for his performance times on Friday and Saturday.
