Orchard Town Center

Westminster, Colo. - Combine a sneak peek at a new state-of-the-art movie theatre and a tile-imprinting event with dogs and children of all ages and what do you get? The AMC Orchard 12 Gala and "Prints of Pride," a fabulous grand opening combination sponsored by The Orchard Town Center and AMC Entertainment Inc. (AMC). The fundraiser will benefit The Westminster Legacy Foundation and the Rotary Club of Westminster, 710 Club.
The AMC Orchard 12 Gala, featuring family-friendly movies, will take place on Wednesday, April 2, the eve of the Center's opening, at the new all-digital AMC Orchard 12. Moviegoers can get these exclusive tickets by purchasing a tile for the "Prints of Pride" program, which invites children and dogs to leave a lasting impression at the new lifestyle center by imprinting clay tiles with their hand and paw prints. The tax-deductible donation for each tile is $60 and attendees must register online at www.theorchardtowncenter.com.
The "Prints of Pride" imprinting days will take place on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6. A limited number of tiles are available, so participants are urged to register as soon as possible. The colorful 6x6-inch tiles will be signed, glazed and installed at The Orchard Town Center for posterity.
"We are extremely pleased to offer a program that will give residents a special connection to The Orchard Town Center while also giving back to the community," said Nancy Rezac, general manager, The Orchard Town Center. "The Westminster Legacy Foundation and the Rotary Club of Westminster, 710 Club, will use the proceeds to make improvements in select philanthropic programs taking place within the community. This is an excellent chance for residents to get a preview of the property before the official Grand Opening on Thursday, April 3."
Details about the AMC Orchard 12 Gala & "Prints of Pride" are as follows:
AMC Orchard 12 Gala
The AMC Orchard 12 Gala will offer guests a sneak preview of the theatre. A cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and entertainment will take place at 6 p.m. at the new theatre, located on the west end of The Orchard Town Center. At 7 p.m. the official ticket-tearing will take place with a showing of family-friendly movies beginning at 8 p.m. A free small popcorn and drink will be available to all guests.
"Prints of Pride"
Here's how the program works:
· Registration for tile imprinting will take place on The Orchard Town Center Web site, www.theorchardtowncenter.com, where parents and dog owners will select time slots that suit their schedules. Tile imprinting will take place Grand Opening weekend.
· Those who register on the Web site will bring their children and dogs to The Orchard Town Center on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, at designated times. Time slots will be confirmed via email. Ceramic tile professionals and volunteers will help the children and dogs make their mark
· The colorful tiles, to coordinate with the color scheme of the Center, will be glazed, fired and installed at the Center, where they will live on for posterity. An installation date will be announced after the tiles are complete.
AMC is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities they serve, and beyond. For more than 85 years, AMC has fostered a long-standing tradition of citizenship and volunteerism by taking pride in the opportunity to share their facilities for charitable events, lend their resources to many worthy and notable causes and join together their approximately 21,000 associates to support volunteer efforts.
"Through the 'Prints of Pride' program, The Orchard Town Center and developers Forest City, have showcased their desire to be an engaged community partner," said Fran Coet, president of the Westminster Legacy Foundation. "We are most grateful that they have selected to support the community through our foundation and the Rotary Club of Westminster, 710 Club, and we look forward to a continuing partnership once the Center opens on April 3."
The Orchard Town Center, located at the northwest corner of I-25 and 144th Avenue, will be a unique, pedestrian-friendly lifestyle village offering residents and visitors exceptional options in shopping, dining and entertainment in an environment that invites lingering, relaxing and socializing. Designed in classic prairie craftsmanship, The Orchard Town Center will provide between 80-100 retail establishments that will blend with the surrounding neighborhoods, with convenient access to services for existing and future residents. The project is being developed by Forest City Commercial Group and the City of Westminster.
