Helping a Good Cause Has Never Tasted So Good
Contributed by: Lisandra Gonzales on 8/15/2008

Adams & Broomfield Counties, CO - Restaurants throughout Adams and Broomfield Counties are teaming up with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to provide individuals with a fun and easy way to help raise funds for the organization through the Dining Out for CASA Program. On particular days of the month, individuals can visit participating restaurants during regular business hours and a portion of their tabs will be donated to CASA. "We are happy to help CASA offer folks such an easy way to help children who have been abused and neglected, " commented Luis Torres, General Manager of Las Delicias, "All they have to do is come out and enjoy our wonderful food and a portion of their total bill will help make sure children are safe from further harm." Helping a good cause has never been so easy, or tasted so good.

Upcoming Dining Out for CASA Events will be held on September 10th at Jay's Grille & Bar located at 7820 N. Washington, Denver; on September 24th at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse located at 10446 Town Center Dr., Westminster; and on September 30th at Las Delicias located at 7610 Conifer Rd., Denver. October Dining Out for CASA Events will be announced in the near future. For more information and a listing of Dining Out for CASA dates and locations visit www.casa17th.org .

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of innocent child victims of abuse and neglect. Each year, in Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 1,500 children who have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused or neglected, and who are in desperate need of a caring, committed CASA Volunteer to speak up for their best interests. In Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 120 CASA volunteers, and we are in need of more great community members to become advocates for children. CASA conducts volunteer training classes three times a year. Our next class begins September 2nd. For more information about CASA, call (303) 654-3378 or visit www.casa17th.org.
