The City of Westminster, Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, and Adams County Open Space will dedicate Big Dry Creek Park, 1700 W. 128th Ave., on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 5:30-7 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs or blanket to enjoy the ceremony, refreshments, entertainment and giveaways. This new, 18-acre community park features soccer and multi-use fields, two baseball fields, playground, dog park, two picnic shelters and walking paths that connect to the 13-mile Big Dry Creek Trail.
Because parking is limited, residents are encouraged to access the park from the trail. Held in conjunction with the dedication is a Denver Bronco Fan Appreciation event. The Denver Broncos Football Club will visit Westminster to thank fans for their support of the team.
Residents are invited to meet Broncos cheerleaders, Miles the Mascot and Ring of Fame member
Billy Thompson
, see the team's Super Bowl trophies, and enjoy other activities. The event will feature the presentation of a Broncos Country flag to Mayor
Nancy McNally
.
Fans can also sign another flag, which the team will take back to INVESCO Field for display. The event is free to the public and will feature autographs, photo opportunities, games and a raffle for Broncos prizes.
