Then & Now: Sign of the times
Contributed by: Deahn Cook on 10/3/2005

This service station was located at the intersection of Steele Street and Cherry Creek Drive South, near Alameda Avenue. It was originally surrounded by empty land and one lone house. The station was built in 1955 and I operated it for a number of years. At the time, Cherry Creek Drive was a dirt road alongside the creek.

The property is now home to the Daniels office building and is surrounded by high-rise apartments, luxury homes and businesses.
