October 19, 2007, Denver, CO - The Colorado Municipal League (CML) is pleased to announce that JoAnn Price, Councilmember for Westminster, has reached the second level tier of the Municipal Elected Officials Leadership Training Program. She was recognized for this achievement during the CML Fall District 3 meeting held on October 3 in Denver.

The CML Leadership Training Program consists of three capacity-building segments. Price is among over 300 municipal elected officials statewide who have completed the initial 30-credit certificate program, and is one of only 139 statewide who have reached the second tier, which requires a total of 60 hours of leadership training.

The training program was started in January 1991 by the League's Executive Board to recognize the efforts of officials who go the extra mile to increase their knowledge of municipal government and their capacity to lead.

CML is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established in 1923 and represents the interests of 264 cities and towns. For more information on the Colorado Municipal League, please visit www.cml.org or call 303-831-6411.
