Garden club names scholarship winners

Happy Transplants Garden Club, of Westminster, would like to congratulate the winners of their $500 scholarships.

Theresa Scanlon-Phillips and Christine Miriam, both of whom are Front Range Community College horticulture students, received the awards.

The scholarships were made possible by the club's annual plant sale.

Happy Transplants has been in existence since 1969 and some of its original members continue with the group. Other projects include the creation of an authentic garden at the Bowles House Museum, a miniature greenhouse project in elementary schools and participation in the Colorado Home and Garden Show.
