WESTMINSTER, Colo. - Karen Van Cleve, a personal coach and professional speaker, is scheduled to speak about emotions and how the brain changes when she meets with students in Psychology and Interpersonal Communication classes Tuesday, March 11.
Van Cleve's presentations - two are scheduled - are open to the public. The presentations will be from 11:25 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. and from 1 to 2:15 p.m. in the Rocky Mountain Room at the Westminster Campus, 3645 W. 112th Ave. Seating is limited, and FRCC students will be accommodated first.
Van Cleve describes herself as a "recovering" business consultant, certified professional coach, and Passion Agent. She is a professional speaker on the subject of stress, with keynotes and workshops designed to entertain while providing tools and techniques to create real change. She is also a Results Coach for the Anthony Robbins Company. Her book "66 Simple Secrets to Save Your Sanity" is written to give the stressed reader a shift in mood or new perspective in 30 seconds or less, the time it takes to read one Secret.
In her presentations, she gives audiences:
· Tips for recognizing patterns of struggle and breaking the cycle quickly and easily.
· Insights on their personal blocks to success.
· The three most important keys to commitment to keep you in the success zone.
Free parking is available, and the campus is on an RTD line. Use Building Entrance 2, near the flagpoles, and follow signs to the Rocky Mountain Room.
Janet Scarpone, speech faculty, arranged for Van Cleve to visit the classes.
Psychology classes focus on the scientific study of the mind and mental and emotional processes. Interpersonal Communication examines communication within families, in social settings, and in work and career environments. Topics covered include self-concept, perception, listening, nonverbal communication, and conflict.
