Mandalay Middle School rasies $1,231

Westminster's Mandalay Middle School students collected $1,231.84 for Olive Garden's Pasta for Pennies. The Pasta for Pennies program is a national fundraising program in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Mandalay's 7th & 8th grade classes competed against each other to see which class could raise the most money.

This year's winning class, Mrs. Kathy Miller's 7th grade Seminar, raised $426.64 and will receive a pasta party catered by Olive Garden.

Since 1994, Pasta for Pennies has raised more than $26 million to support the fight against blood-related cancers.
