October 8, 2007 -The Westminster Legacy Foundation's 5th annual key fund raising event "Wines Around the World" Wine Tasting and Silent Auction is set for Friday, October 19, 7-10 pm at the beautiful Westin Westminster Hotel. The event includes tasting of over 120 wines, 14 microbrews and 13 scotch whiskeys, food samplings from 12 local eateries, entertainment, and a silent auction.

This delightful event is the highlight of the Foundation's fundraising efforts and brings together community-minded businesses and individuals for a fun, casual, and entertaining evening. Total Beverage, the Westin Westminster's O's Steak and Seafood, and the Publishing House are founding sponsors.
Restaurants sponsors include Caribou Coffee, Carrabba's, China Garden, Ciancio's at Hyland Hills, the Grill at Legacy Ridge, the Heritage Grill, Johnny Carinos Italian, Outback Steakhouse, Pier 49 Pizza, Rock Bottom Brewery, Village Bistro, and Wild Oats.Silent Auction baskets include a multitude of goods and services including tickets to sporting events and the theatre, golf outings, hotel and spa services, duck and goose hunts, fishing trips, RTD Express Bus Passes and holiday an occasional gifts.
This event has raised funds over $38,000 in the past four years. As a 501(c) (3) non-profit community foundation these funds are returned back into Westminster in the form of grant funding. Since 2003, the Foundation has contributed over $100,000 to worthy community organizations that benefit the Westminster community and its citizens.
Pre-event tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Total Beverage stores or $40 at the door. Corporate or individual Table Sponsorships can be purchased for $300 and include four tickets.
