Westminster Firefighters looking for a date
Contributed by: Westminster Fire Department on 2/25/2008

Buy a date with a firefighter, win dinner at a firehouse, judge some green chili, or just buy a cold one to support fire department charities at the Westminster Rock Bottom Brewery in March! Proceeds from Fire Chief Ale sales and related activities at the Rock Bottom Brewery in Westminster support the Westminster Firefighters Fire Victims Benefit Fund and the Public Safety Recognition Foundation. There are two special events to mark the beginning and end of the charity drive:

The Fire Chief Ale Tapping - Thursday, March 6, 6 p.m. Join Westminster Firefighters in celebrating the tapping of the first keg of 2008 Fire Chief Ale. Sample the brew, bid on a "hot" date, firehouse meal or a fire truck riding toy, buy Fire Chief Ale merchandise, and (most of all) enjoy the party! The bachelors and bachelorette up for silent auction will be on hand, so come and check out the merchandise. Bachelor/ette auction bids and drawing entries can be made from March 6 - 26 at the Rock Bottom Brewery.

The Fire Chief Ale Chili Cook-off - Wednesday, March 26, 6 p.m. Westminster Firefighters cook up some green chili for a good cause and wrap up the Fire Chief Ale season with style. Sample the different chili entries and vote for your fave. Get those last bachelor/ette silent auction bids and prize entries in; both close at 7:30 p.m. Winners of will be announced at 8 p.m.
