Police blotter: Don't drink and lie

Incidents from the Westminster Police Department

A 19-year old man and 20-year-old woman were arrested for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol, while the 20-year-old woman was also cited for making false reports to authorities, at 1:28 a.m. Nov. 4 at the 8300 block of Sheridan Boulevard. The two were allegedly unresponsive in the back of a taxi cab. After police finally awoke the man, he was allegedly very intoxicated. The woman kept giving the officer false identifications. The man said she was just trying to keep from getting in trouble. Both were cited and taken to detox.

A 24-year-old Westminster man was cited for driving his motorcycle on the Little Dry Creek Trail near the 7300 block of Winona Court at 6:20 p.m. Nov. 7.
