WPD: Mom helps kids escape authorities

A male and female juvenile were cited for public indecency at 1:55 p.m. Dec. 14. at the 10000 block of Oak Street in Westminster. The two were having intercourse on the side of the pool.

With the help of their mother and her male companion, two juvenile siblings escaped the premises after being caught allegedly shoplifting at Burlington Coat Factory, 7325 88th Ave. in Westminster. According to the report, the manager of the store stopped the siblings outside the store after she noticed the girls' bag mysteriously fill up. The girl threw the bag at one of the security guards, and it allegedly contained to pairs of jeans. The the girl then saw her mother with a male companion and started yelling for them. The boy broke free and ran towards the mother, who came to see what was going on. The male companion and the boy jumped into a van and dove up to the group of people, when the mother and the daughter jumped in the van and sped off.

A 35-year-old Edmond, Okla. man reported $1,840 worth of electronics stolen from a storage facility in an apartment complex at the 8300 block of 90th Avenue in Westminster at 2:58 p.m. Dec. 12. According to the report, the Oklahoma man had recently moved from Westminster. He noticed a lot of equipment that he had kept in a detatched garage next to his apartment didn't make it to Oklahoma with him. Some of the reported items include a base station, five-port switch, CD changer, DVD player, surround sound speaker system, photo printer, portable printer and DVD writer drive.
