Westminster man sought in murder
Contributed by: Adams County Sheriff's Office on 2/5/2008

On January 27, 2008, at approximately 6:50 p.m., deputies from the Adams County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of shots being fired in front of Stein's Tavern, 7069 Pecos Street, unincorporated Adams County. Deputies and paramedics responded and the 28-year-old victim, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office Detective Division launched an extensive investigation and has identified Juan David Salinas, 080981, of Westminster, as the suspect in this homicide. Juan Salinas is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8", 150 pounds, bald, with a prominent birthmark on the left side of his face near the jaw-line. Juan Salinas should be considered armed and dangerous. He does not have any known associated vehicle.

We are asking for the public's assistance in locating Juan Salinas - the public should not attempt to contact him. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Adams County Sheriff's Office at 720-322-1313 or 911.
