A 26-year-old Westminster woman reported someone throwing a brick through her husband's car window and damaging the door at 12:43 a.m. Jan. 28 outside an apartment on the 6900 block of Stuart Street. Estimated cost of the damage is $750.
A 22-year-old Denver man and 30-year-old Federal Heights man were arrested on suspicion of menacing use of a deadly weapon, assault in the third degree, use of a weapon, driving while under the influence of alcohol and knowingly possessing an illegal weapon at 2:49 a.m. Jan. 26 at the 6700 block of Federal Boulevard. A Commerce City man alleged that that the Denver man and Federal Heights man were acting suspiciously around him at Brunswick Bowl, 9150 Harlan St, then out of nowhere the Federal Heights man hit him on the side of the face. A friend of the Commerce City man, a Broomfield man, came to the man's aid, but the Denver man brandished a gun at the Broomfield man. The Denver man and Federal Heights man then fled the premises and the Commerce City man and Broomfield man called police. Police later pulled over a car at the Denver man and Federal Heights man were inside at the parking lot of Players Show Club on the 6700 block of Federal Boulevard because they were allegedly swerving. A 25-year-old Thornton man was also in the car. The men in the car fit the description of the suspects from the bowling alley and were immediately arrested. Inside the car, police allegedly found a gun with ammunition and two pairs of metal knuckles. The Denver man was driving the car, and allegedly failed a Breathalyzer test.
A 43-year-old Westminster man reported someone stealing an ATV and a trailer from his home on the 7200 block of Ingalls Street at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Estimated value of the ATV is $3,500, while the trailer is estimated at $1,361.
A 36-year-old Aurora man was arrested for allegedly battering a 36-year-old Austin, Texas, man at the Rear Inn Lounge, 4991 W. 80
th Ave., at 1:08 a.m. Jan. 23. The Austin man allegedly made an inappropriate gesture towards a female acquaintance, and the Aurora man then punched the Austin man multiple times in the face, who was unable to defend himself. A 29-year-old Arvada man witnessed the attacked and left the scene with the Aurora man. The two were soon arrested by police, and the Austin man identified the Aurora man as the one who attacked him. The Arvada man corresponded the story. Since the Arvada man had nothing to do with the battery, he was not charged. The Austin man was taken to St. Anthony's North Hospital.
