MAN BEATS CANADIAN GOOSE
On Aug. 2 at 5:52 p.m., police were dispatched to Indian Tree Golf Course, 7555 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, on a report of animal cruelty. Upon arrival, the reporting party, a 27-year-old male, claimed that he had witnessed a golfer attacking a Canadian goose with his golf club on the 13th hole. He informed police that he and several of his friends had witnessed the suspect injure the goose's wing. When they attempted to approach the man, he threatened them and said, "I'm going to get you, too!" Police charged the attacker on suspicion of cruelty to animals and harassment. Later, police were informed by Animal Management that the goose was euthanized due to a severely broken wing.
SYRUP IS PUT INTO GAS TANK
On Aug. 5 at 10:20 a.m., officers were contacted in reference to a criminal mischief report at the 6800 block of Otis Street. The reporting party, a 49-year-old woman, stated that someone had poured a "syrup-like substance" into the gas tank of her 1997 Nissan pick-up between the hours of 7:30 and 8 a.m. The discovery was made by the female's husband after driving the vehicle to work where he discovered it would not restart. The woman estimated repair costs damages to be $1,000.
