MAN BEATS CANADIAN GOOSE
On Aug. 2 at 5:52 p.m., police were dispatched to Indian Tree Golf Course, 7555 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, on a report of animal cruelty. Upon arrival, the reporting party, a 27-year-old male, claimed that he had witnessed a golfer attacking a Canadian goose with his golf club on the 13th hole. He informed police that he and several of his friends had witnessed the suspect injure the goose's wing. When they attempted to approach the man, he threatened them and said, "I'm going to get you, too!" Police charged the attacker on suspicion of cruelty to animals and harassment. Later, police were informed by Animal Management that the goose was euthanized due to a severely broken wing.
