BLEEDING MAN REFUSES MEDICAL ATTENTION
A 20-year-old Denver man who said he was "shanked" at a party Sept. 7 refused treatment and would not give details to officers of what happened to him. Police were dispatched at 12:36 a.m. to a disturbance on the 10700 block of Owens Street. When officers arrived, they contacted a man with a bloody shirt in the front yard of a residence yelling at people in the street. The man, who appeared intoxicated, stated only that another man cut him and that he is "not afraid of knives or dying." Police later broke up a party at the house.
MAN BUSTED FOR POSSESSION OF PILLS, DRUGS
A 25-year-old Centennial man was arrested for suspicion of possession of marijuana and pharmaceutical drugs during a routine traffic stop Sept. 8. An officer pulled over the man's vehicle at 4:30 p.m. on the 8300 block of Federal Boulevard due to an expired license plate registration. The officer smelled marijuana in the car and patted down the car's owner. During the search, a bottle containing about 20 pills of Oxycodone Hydrochloride fell out of the man's pants. A further search of the car also revealed marijuana residue in the ashtray, a silver knife in the glove box and approximately $1,800 in cash.
