Westminster Police: Prowler caught

PROWLER CAUGHT

At 8:20 p.m. Nov. 15, officers responded to an apartment on the 2900 block of Eliot Circle on a report of a possible prowler. A 17-year-old girl told officers that she had seen a man peering into the window of her house. When officers arrived, dispatch informed them that a 34-year-old man was being pinned down by several people. The girl told officers she observed the man watching her a week earlier and that he had peered into a neighbor's window earlier that night. The girl's boyfriend confronted the man, and when he did, he told officers it appeared the man had his hands down his pants. Officers arrested the man on suspicion of public indecency.

UNLOCKED CAR ON STREET IS TRESPASSED

At 9:20 p.m. Nov. 19, officers responded to a theft near the intersection of 74th Avenue and Chase Drive. An unidentified party told officers that she observed three men in black walking down the street trying car doors to see if they were unlocked. From the description the reporting party gave, officers contacted an 18-year-old woman who was visiting a home in the area. The 18-year-old and the officer looked over her car, and it became apparent that someone had entered it through an unlocked driver's side door. Her car-stereo face plate, 50 CDs and a black coat were taken from the car. The estimated loss wasalmost $400.

SEVERAL ITEMS STOLEN FROM TRUCK IN DRIVEWAY

At 10 a.m. Nov. 16, officers responded to a theft at a home on the 2800 block of 115th Circle.The reporting partytold officers he went to his 2007 Chevy Silverado parked in his driveway at about 9 a.m. when he observed someone had been inside of it. The unidentified person took an ASP collapsible baton, a Lowes gift card, a hunting license and a Costco membership card. The mansaid heleft the truck unlocked overnight. Theestimated losswas estimated to be $42.
