MAN DAMAGES TWO CARS AFTER PARTYING
A 22-year-old Westminster man was issued summonses on suspicion of careless driving, leaving the scene after striking a vehicle/property and failure to notify the police at 8:53 a.m. March 23 on the 4700 block of West 113th Avenue. Police were dispatched to the 11200 block of Vrain Drive and found two vehicles that had been hit and were damaged. Police canvassed the area and located another vehicle parked slightly on the sidewalk, with severe damage. It had one of the other car's license plate lodged in its grill and matched the damage from the other two cars. The car belonged to the 22-year-old. Police woke him up and asked him if he remembered getting into an accident the night before. The man said, "I think so." The man was taken to the Westminster Police Department where he blew a .146 on a Breathalyzer test. The man said he had been out partying and drove home. As he neared his residence, he said he vaguely remembered hitting two cars, but kept driving. He said when he got home he noticed extensive damage to his car and he tried to "bang it out." He said he briefly thought about going back and leaving his information on the cars he hit, but instead, he went inside and passed out. He was issued summonses.
