CAR STOLEN ON MEADE STREET
A 2005 white Kia Spectra was stolen in front of a residence on the 9100 block of Meade Street. The car was parked at 6:30 p.m. April 30 at the residence. When the reporting party left his house for work at 5:15 a.m. the next day, his car was gone. He said the estimated cost is $10,000. The license plate is 058STS.
BUCKET-SIZE AMOUNT OF DRUGS WANTED
At 3:13 p.m. April 29, police were dispatched to Target, 14451 Orchard Parkway, on a prescription fraud report. The pharmacist said a man came into the store two days prior with a prescription for 400 ml of Phenergan with codeine. The pharmacist said 400 ml was a huge amount, nearly equal the size of a bucket, and the pharmacy did not dispense medication in that amount. The pharmacist tried to stall the customer, but the customer left. Porter Adventist Hospital called to confirm the prescription was fraudulent. Security cameras caught the man and his vehicle on tape and it was booked as evidence. There was no other suspect information at the time of this report.
ROBBER TRIES TO STEAL CAR WASH CHANGE
A suspect broke into Herb's Texaco, 3791 W. 72nd Ave., between 6:16 p.m. April 30 and 6:45 a.m. May 1. The suspect used an unknown instrument to break out a small portion of a brick wall on the north side of the business. The hole was approximately 2 feet by 2 feet. The suspect entered the room where the hole led, which is a storage area for tools and equipment. In the room is the back part of a large car wash box that contained coin cash. There were pry marks on the box and the lock had been drilled on, but the suspect did not gain entry. A total of $150 was stolen from a toolbox and the damage to the brick wall and car wash box totalled $1,300. There was no suspect information at the time of this report.
