On June 2, 2009 Westminster Police arrested James Gordon McLees (DOB 04-01-51) on the following charges:
Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust - CRS 18-3-405.3 (F3)
Sexual Assault on a Child Pattern of Abuse - CRS 18-3-405.3 (F3)
Two juvenile male victims were identified in a case which took place ten years ago. Mr. McLees was active in church organizations as well as being involved in the Boy Scouts of America throughout the Denver metro area over the last ten years.
Sexual offense type crimes are often not reported. If you feel you or your child may have had inappropriate contact with James McLees, you are asked to contact the Westminster Police Department, Detective VonFeldt at 303-658-4248.
At the time of this press release Mr. McLees is in custody at the Jefferson County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.
