DRUNK THREATENS MAN WITH GUN

A 27-year-old Westminster man reported a drunken man who was urinating in a parking lot threatened to shoot him and his wife June 2. The man told police he pulled up at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Hiccups Bar and Grill, 7980 N. Sheridan Blvd., and noticed a man urinating between two cars. When he asked the man why he was urinating in the parking lot, the drunken man replied, "I have a gun in the car that says I can do anything I want." He then replied, "You're going to shoot me over telling you that I can't pee here?" to which the suspect replied, "Yeah, I can do whatever I want to do." The suspect then made a crass comment about the man's wife before taking off in the car. Police are investigating the incident.

DUI SUSPECT SMOKED CRACK BEFORE DRIVING

A 32-year-old Granby man allegedly told police he smoked crack and took several ecstasy pills before drinking a six pack of beer and crashing his car. According to a report, the man crashed into a parked car at approximately 10:30 a.m. on the 7700 block of Lowell Boulevard. When officers asked the DUI suspect what happened, he allegedly replied he "didn't remember what had happened" and "felt buzzed." After failing a roadside sobriety test, the man admitted to taking the drugs before drinking a six pack of Natural Ice that morning. He was arrested and taken to the hospital for medical clearance.

MAN DUPED BY CON MAN

A 44-year-old Westminster man reported he was misled into quitting his job by a suspected con man. The man stated he met the suspect last fall at a bar and developed a relationship with him. In January, the Westminster man told the suspect he was worried about his job with Coors because the company recently had a round of layoffs. The suspect then offered the man a job with his company, CRC Mastercraft, in Berthoud. The man quit his job with Coors only to find out the suspect had disappeared with $21,000 of his money. The report did not indicate how the suspect took the man's money.

TV, DIAMOND RINGS TAKEN IN BURGLARY

Thousands of dollars in items were stolen from a resident's apartment June 2.A 29-year-old woman told police a burglar kicked open the door to her apartment on the 2800 block of 116th Place and took a number of her belongings, including a $2,800 flat screen television, two $2,000 diamond rings, 175 DVDs, video game console, digital camera and laptop computer. The loss was estimated at close to $10,000. None of her neighbors heard or saw anything suspicious. The woman was so upset that a victim's advocate had to be called to talk with her.

MAN THREATENED WITH KNIFE

A 56-year-old Westminster man reported someone threatened to cut him with a knife June 2. The man stated he was walking his dog at approximately 9:51 p.m. near 84th Avenue and Federal Boulevard when an intoxicated man walked out of the bushes and threatened him. The man told police he was talking to his dog at the time and believes the suspect thought he was talking to him. The suspect then pulled out a 3-inch knife and stated, "you wanna fight, I'll (expletive) cut you man." The man stated he grabbed his dog and ran to a nearby grocery store parking lot. The suspect was last seen walking through the parking lot of an apartment complex.
