On Monday, a Colorado Springs television viewer reported information to the Colorado Springs Police Department about
Anthony Dean Stockdale
.
Officers from the Stetson Hills Area Command responded to a residence in the 3400 block of Cedarhurst Way where they were told that Stockdale had been staying with friends for the last week.
Stockdale was not at the residence when Colorado Springs Police first arrived.
Upon his return, at about 6:50 p.m., Stockdale was arrested without incident by Colorado Springs Police Officers. In addition to Westminster's warrant for Child Abuse Resulting in Death, Stockdale is being held on an outstanding Douglas County traffic warrant.
Stockdale will be held in the El Paso County Jail pending $502,000 bond or extradition. His 1991 Buick was recovered in the neighborhood nearby.
Westminster Police recognized and appreciate the assistance from our law enforcement partners in Colorado Springs and media assistance in this case. Broadcast and rebroadcast of Stockdale's information led to his arrest.
