Westy native Befort touched by Kansas twisters
Contributed by: DR. SEAN REIF D.C. on 5/10/2007

Go to Kansas he was "called". Brian Befort left Cafe Mexico to open a small restaurant in his wife, Angie's hometown of Osborne, Kansas. After a fire burned the place to the ground a couple of years back, the townrallied for an old fashioned wallraising to rebuild the Circle Inn to an even better and BIGGER. The local Rotary Club, for which Brian has become a member, meets there on Thursdays at noon. That was until this weekend's band of tornados decimated the restaurant.

Brian was born, raised and graduated from Westy High School and continues to referee basketball games. He now lives the small town life running a business, community work, and raising a growing family. He still makes the old green chili recipe from the Cafe days, though some farmers still prefer the old white milk gravy. He certainly has a touch of "spice" to that Kansas town.

Call or write Brian to offer support and words of encouragement in his time of rebuilding. Or stop in on your way through Kansas. Osborne is straight east of Colby on US 24 and straight north of Russell on US 281 before you get to Smith Center.

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

“Individual effort when well directed can accomplish much, but the greatest good must necessarily come from the combined efforts of many men. Individual effort may be turned to individual needs, but combined effort should be dedicated to the service of mankind. The power of combined efforts knows NO LIMITATION. This superlative power no man may appropriate to his own use. This is the world’s sub-conscious conclusion. We must clearly understand the justice of it and measure up to its requirements.”
