North Metro Fire Rescue is attempting to raise awareness and raise funds through the sale of a specialty pink t-shirts for a set donation price. Adult sizes will be offered for $20 and youth for $15. Proceeds raised through the t-shirts will benefit the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. Shirts are available Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at North Metro Fire Rescue District Headquarters located at 10550 Huron Street in Northglenn. Then this October 25 - 27, North Metro fire fighters will hang up their traditional blue uniform and wear a pink T-shirt too! North Metro is joining a national emergency responder campaign, "Cares Enough to Wear Pink." Our objective is to help raise awareness for women to get a mammogram and show our support of those who are fighting against breast cancer.
