City council taking stand on legislative items
Contributed by: YourHub.com on 1/28/2008

According to the City of Westminster Web site, the city council is taking a stand on three legislative items, opposing HB 1012 and HB 1118, while supporting HB 1023.

HB 1012 would put the maintenence of certain state highways under the control of the cities. The city council believes HB 1118 would make planning for transportation projects large and small too difficult.

HB 1023 would criminalize possession of graffiti tools.

The city hosts an online legislative scorecard, which is available at http://www.ci.westminster.co.us/gov/council/score/webscorecard.htm.

The state legislative session concludes on May 7.
