Law Enforcement Employee of the Year
Contributed by: Heather Wood on 5/21/2008

Police Records Supervisor Darrin Bacca was honored as the Westminster Police Department Employee of the Year on Sunday, May 18. The award was presented at Tri-City Baptist Church during an annual service honoring law enforcement agencies in recognition of National Police Week.

Darrin Bacca has been an employee of the police department for 20 years and during that time has also served as a records technician and an accident investigator. Bacca was recognized for his extensive knowledge of the Intergraph computer system, which manages police records and his willingness to help employees when they run into problems with this system and its different components. His nomination letter states that "he is always interested in the integrity of this department and whatever it takes to maintain it."

The ceremony was followed with lunch provided by Carrabba's Italian Grill and presentations by the Westminster Police Department SWAT Team and K-9 Unit.
