JoAnn Price is an incumbent on the Westminster City Council.
My name:
JoAnn Price
Age:
55
My family:
Husband-Lloyd Children-Stacey, Marcus, and Chelsi Grandchildren-Isaac & Maddox
What I do:
Co-owner of Price Appraisal Service, Westminster City Council, part-time Granny-nanny to Isaac and Maddox.
My favorite place in town to hang out:
ANYWHERE with my husband, family or friends. I value the time I have with them and it is usually at restraunts, golfing, or in our beautiful parks in Westminster.
What I like most about living here:
As a Westminster native, I love the people, the quality of life it brings, the location and the beauty of our well managed city.
My interests and hobbies:
Roller Derby and Mud Wrestling...when I'm not doing those I'm really kind of a slug. I get in a game of golf once in awhile, I like to dance, and go to see plays/musicals/concerts.
What is my favorite thing to cook:
Good 'ol Pot Roast, Italian Food, and Confetti Angel Food Cake.
People who inspired me (and how):
My family upbringing in Westminster has exposed me to a combination of wonderful people. I see how their values and courage served as a role model for me and their encouragement contributed to me being on Council today.
How I have contributed to the community: I'm
always involved in volunteering and leadership roles. Westminster City Council has opened my world to wonderful citizens and helping them with city issues. I am transparent, honest, quick to get their concerns addressed. Also being on Rocky Flats Stewardship Council, North Metro Arts Alliance, and liaison to other boards has given me a chance to impact our citizens in positive ways.
What are the biggest issues facing your city now:
Continue to keep Westminster citizens safe and getting movement on redeveloping the Westminster Mall. Also maintaining and growing our tax base, attract businesses with great employment opportunities, providing variety of housing choices, while continuing top quality services our citizens are accustomed to.
