My Name: John Soper

My age: 66

My family: I have been married to my wife Juanita for 45 years. I have a daughter, Jennifer; two sons, John Jr. and Thomas, and nine grandchildren

What I do: I am a retired electrician.

My favorite place in town to hang out: Bronco games.

What I like most about living here: Changes in the season and the open country with the mountains and the prairies.

My interests and hobbies: Gardening and woodworking.

What is my favorite thing to cook: Eggs

People who inspired me (and how): My wife and Jimmy Carter.

How I have contributed to the community: I have worked with Christian youth for 35 years and have been on the planning commission for 11 years.

What are the biggest issues facing the community now: Affordable health insurance as well as jobs with dignity that pay a living wage and provide benefits.
