Camp Gan Israel Westminster (CGI Westy) is proud to announce its partnership with Children's Technology Workshop (CTW) in introducing iCampTM. iCamp's innovative science and technology program allows kids to explore four major streams of technology; Engineering and Robotics, Movie Making with Animation, Video Game Design and Digital Art.
Choosing from one of ten exciting adventures, kids complete a variety of hands-on, applied technology projects geared to their skill levels and areas of interest. From constructing a LEGO mars rover to travel the planet in search of aliens to designing your very own video game, CTW's icamp TM offers something for everybody.
"The partnership of CGI Westy and CTW offers a great deal for kids who want to enjoy a Jewish camp and simultaneously experience cutting edge science and technology programming" says Mr.
David Singer, Denver's CTW regional director. In addition, Singer explains that the open-ended, inquiry-based learning environment created by icamp TM is a wonderful opportunity for kids to develop their critical thinking, problem solving and creativity, all essential to the 21st-century learner.
Mrs.
Jenine Rubin of Niwot is delighted that iCamp is being offer at CGI Westy. "Our two boys both long time campers of CGI Westy are very interested in technology and love to build so having iCamp as part of CGI Westy is the perfect combination for my family".
Campers involved in iCamp still do a lot of the regular Gan Israel activities so that are not spending all day inside. CGI Westy's regular programming includes a tiny tots program for children aged 2-4. Parents have the option of signing up for a three-day, or a five-day week session. This coupled with our exciting Pioneer program - that includes whitewater rafting, horse back and bike riding, scuba diving, sailing and indoor rock climbing - for 10- to 14-year-olds makes CGI Westy a one-stop day camp for the entire family.
CGI Westy runs from June 30 through July 25 and is for boys and girls ages 2-14 and offers transportation and a before and after camp program.
