RTD to answer FasTracks questions
Contributed by: Russell Weisfield on 9/19/2006

On Sept. 27, South Westminster Organized for Responsible Development (SWORD) will be sponsoring a public information seminar on FasTracks from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nickless Hall at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3990 W. 74th Ave. (1/2 block east of Bradburn). Refreshments will be provided.

RTD Directors Bill Christopher and Juanita Chacon will be present along
with RTD staff to provide information and to answer questions. This is the time to get all of your questions about FasTracks answered, including:

When will trains begin running from South Westminster?
Where will the trains be located?
What type of trains will be used (diesel or electric)?
Why is this system not the same light rail as Denver?
Will I lose my property for track expansion?
What is the construction timeline?
How much will it cost to build?
How much will it cost to ride?
Where will the station be located?
How many parking spaces will be at the station?
What will be the environmental impacts of the trains?
How many trains per day will be running through town?
What will the noise levels be?
What will the pollution emissions be?

The public is encouraged to attend. For more information, go to www.southwestminster.org.
