Professional pet sitting group networks to provide in home pet care for North Metro Denver and surrounding cities.
North Metro Denver Pet Sitters (NMDPS) is Colorado's largest network of pet care companies committed to providing in home service for all types of pets living in the north Metro Denver area. From Wheat Ridge to Loveland, Boulder to Brighton, and everywhere in between, they work to educate the more than 300,000 pet owners about the benefits, for them and their pets, of using a Professional Pet Sitter.
NMDPS members are experienced giving veterinary prescribed medications as required. They also provide the added benefits of taking care of your basic household duties like watering plants, bringing in the mail, putting out the trash, and rotating lighting and window treatments as part of their services. Some members of NMDPS board two or three dogs in their own home, or in the homes of their network of professional caregivers, rather than make visits to the dog's home. Other members may provide overnight pet sitting, pet taxi, and errand running.
"There is still a large percentage of pet owners that aren't aware of the option of leaving their pets at home in the care of a professional pet sitter" says Mickey Borders, co-organizer of NMDPS and owner of Sirius Pet Care, LLC. "We meet with potential clients and their pets in advance to get acquainted with them and learn more about each pet's particular needs. When we provide service, we make sure each pet gets personalized caring attention, and stays close to their normal routine."
NMDPS members are properly licensed, insured, and/or bonded depending on what type of service is offered. They are professionals that have many years of experience and are dedicated animal care providers. They also have special training ranging from The American Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR class to accreditation from nationally known pet sitting organizations. They follow a high code of ethics that include honesty, dependability, and treating every pet as if it was their own.
Clients of NMDPS range from working people that want daily pet visits for exercise, medication, or to be turned outside, to others going out to town on vacation or business. Some may have physical limitations that require them to have help with their pets' needs.
The cost of NMDPS services varies by the individual company and the services provided, but are very competitive with other forms of pet care, especially if multiple pets are involved. To learn more, contact a member of NMDPS, at

"We work together to keep costs down by referring to other members in the network that may be closer to the client. Between all the members of NMDPS, I'm sure we cover just about every pet owning household from I-70 north to Loveland," notes Borders. "We also get together once a month to discuss current pet care issues and ways to improve our services."
