Hello my name is Margarita Padilla; I am a devoted wife, a mother of two and a loving grandmother of one.
Here is my story of why I feel I deserve a day with 11 of my friends and family to enjoy a day at the Rockies game at Coors Field.
The month of June and July has been a very tough month for my family and myself. To start things off, my daughter, Candace, just had her 10th major intestinal surgery. My son, Jared has left to a Marine Boot Camp in San Diego.
My husband, Rudy, while visiting our daughter in the hospital had a problem with his heart beat and had to be shocked twice down in the Emergency Room. A few days later he had to have a heart procedure done to help the rhythm of his heart so that it can beat correctly. I am glad we were at the hospital because, the doctor said he could have had a massive heart attack had we not gotten him to the ER sooner.
I have a Special Needs grandson, Dominick, with a very rare skin condition. He should not be out in the sun, because it can make his skin condition worse and more painful. He will be turning 1 year old this Saturday the 14th of July. The baby needs dressing changes three times a week and my soon to be in-laws help a lot with the dressing changes.
The chance to be able to watch a Rockies game from one of their suites will allow us to take my grandbaby to his first Rockies baseball game and to be safely out of the sun. I would love the chance to take everybody out to the game so we can all have time to relax and enjoy a Rockies game. I do not want you to think of this as a sympathy letter, but I feel we all need a break to stop and breathe so we can enjoy a nice day at Coors Field.
