FAMILY'S HOPE AND LOVE OF WINNING

The Rockies are and always will be my favorite baseball team. All of my children love the Rockies (even my husband does). Last year we had season tickets but this year we could not afford them. We did not miss any of the playoff games. In our household we do not talk about the World Series. The main reason why I am writing this story is that this year we could not afford season tickets, and when I told my children they were mad and sad. For the past four years we have gotten season tickets. My little Kayla, Marek, and Mark still have not gotten over not getting season tickets. So I am trying to redeem myself and give them something they will really enjoy. I have not slept since I told them we could not get tickets ( just kidding I slept a little).
Since we moved here from California five years ago we have been hooked on the Rockies.Even though our friends back in Los Angeles think we should still be Dodgers fans, but we have resisted them. Two years ago my grandfather died of a heart attack, and my 92 year old grandmother was diagnosed with cancer.I watch over her almost every day. All she does is go for her walk in the morning, eat, sleep, and watch the Rockies. She has not missed a game since her husband died. In her 45 years living here, she has only been to 2 Rockies games; at least when they started playing in 1993.It would really make her happy if she got to go to another Rockies game (possibly her last).
What I would really like about winning this contest is spending some quality time with my family.I thank you for this glorious chance to spend more time with them.
