Adams 50 super thrilled over bond passing
Contributed by: Roberta Selleck on 11/13/2006

Dear District 50 Community:

I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our voters for supporting 3A. This is a landmark event for our district. Your support affords Adams 50 the opportunity to build a new high school and a new elementary school while providing needed repairs at other schools. It allows us to restructure the district by combining schools, which saves taxpayers dollars, and improve the learning environments for students. Most importantly, it will reinvent District 50 and make it competitive with surrounding districts.

We had such a committed team working on this campaign. I appreciate their dedication and tireless efforts, especially the efforts of Skeet Hartman who served as the campaign chair. Other dedicated volunteers include Pat Hall, Cindy and Michael Jeffries, Paula and Bill Van Beek, Joe Talarico, Richard Pabon, Dori Walter, Vi June, Chris Dittman, Sally Miles, Joan and Wayne Smith, Melissa Helbert, Stan Perea, Melissa Norton, Tom Lynch, Annette Hall, Bill Christopher, Don Rhoda, Pam Huetson, Matt Duran, our board of education, our parents, and our staff. We could not have accomplished this without you.

Our taxpayers that supported us deserve to see this project come to fruition as quickly as possible and our children deserve it. Our next steps include a meeting of the district-wide facilities committee comprised of taxpayer stakeholders at a meeting prior to the holiday break. As a citizen of District 50, I invite you to be a part of our master planning process and create a road map for our future. Please contact the Educational Services Center for an application 303-428-3511.

I recently came into our community from the land of Lincoln and according to 'honest Abe' the best part of politics is making new friends. I have surely done that. As a district we asked for your support and you gave it. Thank you. We are looking forward to the future with great anticipation. The hardest hill to climb has been conquered....now we begin the exhilarating work of creating great educational environments.
