Central City Stars top the Westy Thunder Bolts
Contributed by: John Eisel/YourHub.com on 7/3/2006

A glorious time was had by all at England Field in Westminster on a sunny July 1, as the Central City Stars topped the homestanding Westminster Thunder Bolts 10-3 in Colorado Vintage Base Ball Association action.

The Stars were helped out by members of the Denver Blue Stockings.

Unlike modern baseball, this version, based off the game from the 1870s, is played with no gloves, although batters are out if the fielders catch the ball off one bounce.
