Get to know your Wheat Ridge community 101

Its week 6 and you are well on your way to getting to know our community. The name of the lumber yard was Woodside Lumber Company. Now for this week, north, south, east or west, walk 6 blocks from your house in any direction. Try to notice something you have never really noticed before. Are your neighbors adding on to their home? Did any of your neighbors plant new trees? Did any neighbors paint their homes? Take a good look, maybe one of your neighbors need help with planting, weeding, painting, picking up trash or other projects. At 44th and Wadsworth there is a big fenced in area. What was the name of the business that used to be on the cement pad that has been vacant for several years? Do you remember what happened to the building that was there? Wanda Sang is a council representive for what district? What other position did she serve the city in? Vincenza's Bakery located at 8000 West 44th Ave, used to be what business several years ago? Let's get to know our community together. Getting to know our community can be fun.
