WHAT'S BETTER FOR AMERICA - LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE IDEAS?
We now know officially who the presidential candidates are, but do THEY know "What's better for America, liberal or conservative ideas?"
Colorado Prager Fans (CPF) present a debate between nationally syndicated radio talk show host and bestselling author Dennis Prager and nationally syndicated newspaper columnist and bestselling author David Sirota. Titled "What's Better for America - Liberal or Conservative Ideas," the program will take place on Monday, September 22, 7 - 9 pm at South High School, 1700 E. Louisiana Ave. in southeast Denver.
The progressive Sirota and conservative Prager and will face off in a timely discussion about the country's most pressing issues, including the economy, foreign policy, freedom of speech and American's reputation in the world.
"The debate format is designed to showcase a respectful dialogue between two popular and divergent political thinkers," says Chuck Grifasi, president of Colorado Prager Fans. "In this season of heightened political exchanges, our goal is to bring Prager's principle of clarity over agreement to Denver audiences, with the intention of encouraging thoughtful and polite discourse about politics and major issues of life."
A resident of Denver, Colorado, David Sirota is one of the only national columnists living and reporting outside of Washington, D.C. Named best columnist in 5280 Magazine's June 2008 Top of the Town issue, he is widely known for his coverage of political corruption, globalization and working class economic issues. Sirota's most recent book, The Uprising, is on the New York Times bestselling political and non-fiction list. His column appears weekly in the Denver Post.
Los Angeles-based Dennis Prager, is one of American's most respected radio talk show hosts, whose nationally syndicated "Dennis Prager Show" airs locally Monday through Friday on KNUS-AM 710. A nationally syndicated newspaper columnist and bestselling author, Prager's titles include Happiness is a Serious Problem and a seminal work on anti-Semitism Why the Jews? with Joseph Telushkin. Prager is widely sought for his opinion on national cable and network television shows such as "Larry King Live" and "Hannity and Colmes." His writings have appeared in Commentary, the Weekly Standard and the Wall Street Journal.
Tickets are $21 in advance; $25 at the door. To purchase tickets, and for additional information, visit www.pragerevent.com). Tickets will be available at Will Call tables at the event. Seating is open.
Colorado Prager Fans is one of the fastest growing listening audiences of "The Dennis Prager Show." The 350-member club meets regularly to discuss Prager's weekly radio segments--ultimate issues and happiness-and other life challenges. The "What's Better for America" debate is the first high-profile public event for the Colorado Prager Fans. CPF also runs study groups, a book club, bible study and other events.
