A Film and Fun Banquet

If you're tired of media's daily emphasis on divisiveness, conflict and separation, you can get a jump start on hope, harmony and connection with a small local community tying in to millions world-wide through modern technology on Saturday, May 10 at Living Water Unity's film and fun banquet. It's a three course meal with multiple opportunities to feed the soul, the mind, the spirit and the stomach. It offers inspiration, intellectual stimulation, and just plain fun.

The first banquet course--the Pangea Day event-features 24 short films, live music, and visionary speakers broadcast live from locations in Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, and Rio de Janeiro. The entire program will be broadcast-in seven languages-to millions of people worldwide through the internet, television, and mobile phones. The 24 films were selected from over 2,500 submissions created in over 100 countries based on their ability to inspire, transform and allow us to see the world through another person's eyes. The program will be on Living Water Unity's big screen from noon to 4 p.m. and is free, although offerings are appreciated.

The second banquet course is real food for the stomach in the form of a potluck from 4:00 to 6:00, supplemented by live music. Bring your own place settings and a dish to share with others, and join in informal conversational reflections on the movies or enjoy the pleasures of live music. You'll find a community that shares love, laughter, and honoring of individual spiritual paths.

The third banquet course-the dessert-stands alone, with tickets available for $10. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to be an educated mouse listening from the corner of a room where some of the west's leading, most innovative thinkers explore world problems, opportunities, and issues, here's the chance. Bring forty visionary thinkers together at the Dalai Lama's residence for three days, film them, and offer what transpired to the public, and you get "Dalai Lama Renaissance" The movie is at 7 p.m. followed by a short discussion period among attendees. The movie will also be shown at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.

Our choices and focuses seem often unconscious, fed by negativity and separation. Here's a chance to consciously focus on hope, harmony and connectedness. Feed the soul, feed the mind, feed the body, and you get to choose how much of each on Saturday May 10 at Living Water Unity, at 59th and Vance (just north of Ralston Road and west of Wadsworth in the Olde Town district of Arvada). Since room size limits the number of participants, please contact livingwaterunity@comcast.net with your intent to attend.
